The  2018 Whole Earth and Watershed Festival was held Saturday April 21, 2018 at Redding City Hall and Sculpture Park with an abundance of exciting activities and exhibitors, inspiring artists and innovators, engaging live music on 3 stages, an outstanding keynote speaker, and delicious local food and craft beer. In short it was a phenomenal success!!!

The Festival Planning Committee would like to THANK the AMAZING VOLUNTEERS who came out starting at 5:30am to ensure a smooth set-up, take-down, and overall event  for  our Exhibitors AND our Attendees! The 2018 Festival had more exhibitors and attendees than ever before. We also had the first ever 100% pedal powered main stage; the 1st Eco Fashion Show, the 1st Environmental Stewardship Awards, and the 1st Keynote Theatre!! We hope everyone enjoyed themselves!

Our Exhibitors truly represent the BEST OF THE NORTH STATE: working to promote healthy living, build healthy communities, and restore a healthy planet! Thank you for all you do throughout the year!

SAVE THE DATE: The 2019 Festival has been set for the 3rd or 4th Saturday in April  2019 (TBD by Nov. 1st) and Exhibitor Applications will be available on this website staring in November 2018.

Over 170 Exhibitors highlighted health living, healthy communities, and a healthy planet including businesses, non-profits, government agencies, and educational organizations, artists, and innovators. The Festival offers an amazing opportunity to learn, network, and celebrate the best of the North State. Make plans to join us in 2019~

 

ROCK THE BIKE on the Miracle Mile Stage

The Miracle Mile Stage was made possible by a partnership between Miracle Mile Records, a local recording label, Shasta Living Streets our local advocate for all things bike, and Rock the Bike, a company based in the Bay Area dedicated to putting pedal power in action! The Miracle Mile Stage is located in the fountain area in front of City Hall, and featured amazing acts all day long, including a nationally touring headliner band.  

 

Bike Valet

Pedal to the Festival and park your bike at the FREE bike valet sponsored by Shasta Wheelmen located in front of the Miracle Mile Stage.

 

Food and Drink

Fuel up or feed your cravings at one of the Festival’s numerous food booths each of which offers a menus filled with delicious local food and beverages.  Make a point to grab your friends and chill while listening to awesome music at the Fountain Bar and Beer Garden located in front of the Miracle Mile Stage. They offer delicious Italian sodas, fresh local kombucha; wine and craft brews on tap.

 

Homegrown Roots

Bring the farm to your own table – learn about, taste and explore the Shasta Grower’s Farmer’s Market (Open from 7:30 am to 1 pm) located on the back side of City Hall along with numerous exhibitors who will have many veggies, plants, and homegrown products for sale!

 

Community Stage

The Community Stage in the Sculpture Park will highlight the outstanding music by students from Redding School of the Arts who always bring their A-GAME! The Stage will also feature a brand new Eco-Fashion Show sponsored by The Redding Fashion Alliance from 12:30-1pm. Our fabulous Poetry Jam will be back this year on the Community Stage from 4:15-5pm offering tremendous original spoken word! The Community Stage Schedule will be available by April 1st.

 

Kids Activities

Your kids will have plenty of things to keep them engaged and active. They won’t want to miss the Children’s Zone, S.T.E.A.M. Tent (STEM+Arts), 4-H Petting Zoo, Climbing Wall, Laser Tag as well as creative, educational activities at our Exhibitor Booths.

 

Great Outdoors

Local and regional companies and businesses showcasing sport, fitness and outdoor related products and ideas will inspire active lifestyles.

 

Eco Village

Explore colorful exhibitor booths for unique finds, green products, smart technology,  cool gadgets, unique art, organic clothing, and a plethora of other items you didn’t know you needed until now!

 

Free RABA Shuttle

RABA is providing free shuttle rides to the event 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.  The RABA shuttle will run between the Downtown Transit Center (also known as the RABA Passenger Terminal) and Redding City Hall.  Near the Downtown Transit Center, LOTS OF PARKING is available at the RABA Passenger Parking and Downtown Mall lots.

It’s a great opportunity to reduce transportation impacts and ride RABA!  AND don’t forget…each bus has a bike rack!

 

Whole Earth Walk About

Take a Walk About at the Festival and get the chance to win awesome prizes. Passports are available at Exhibitor Booths, at the Information Booth, and from Event Staff found throughout the Festival grounds! Simply visit 1 Booth in each area (7 different areas) and turn it back into the Info Booth. Prizes drawn throughout the day!
