Do you enjoy poetry? Are you interested in sharing your work? The Poetry Jam at the 2017 Whole Earth and Watershed Festival is the place to do it!
The Festival’s Poetry Jam will be from 1-2pm on the Community Stage and offers a chance for you to share your passion and art with the community. Some suggested poetry topics are those that follow in line with the Festival’s message: healthy living, healthy communities, and a healthy planet or any social justice issue.
A poetry jam works by allowing aspiring and professional poets the opportunity to get on stage and share their work. It can take the form of a dramatic reading, a simple recitation, with music or without, whatever best represents the poem! Just keep in mind there is a time-limit of 10 minutes per poet.
This event is being coordinated by Sharon Brisolara, Associate Dean of Access and Equity at Shasta College. If you are interested in participating, please contact her at email@example.com or (530) 242-7625.
