Miracle Mile Records in partnership with Rock the Bike and Shasta Living Streets is taking the 2018 Festival in a whole new direction. The Miracle Mile Stages in the fountain area will be powered entirely by people on stationary bikes! This is truly green power in action and will be the first time our region has experienced the energy of pedal power in motion to live music!
Rock the Bike is based in the Bay area and has spent the last 13 years developing Pedal Powered activities that help everyday people experience their power to make change. Miracle Mile Records has been the power behind the high caliber of musicians who have graced the fountain area stages for the past 4 years. The 2018 Festival is set to rock the north state area with a nationally recognized headliner band as well as the amazing independent artists and musicians recording under this local independent record label. Shasta Living Streets is a local organization dedicated to building better bikeways and trails, walkable cities and vibrant public places in Shasta County. Established in 2010 by a handful of enthusiasts, Shasta Living Streets has grown considerably, innovated new programs and services, helped shift public and agency vision and direction, and supported projects that have brought more funding, better policy, and breakthrough change to our community.

2018 Festival-goers: You can take part in powering our live performance!
What do YOU need to do in order to participate?
- Put together a team: 5-8 people who want to pedal with you. Your team will be responsible for powering 6 bikes for 30 minutes straight. It’s a good idea to have a couple extra teammates in case you’d like to rotate OR someone needs a break!
- Find a team coordinator: Your team captain and motivator, and the person who coordinates with festival staff (this could be you!).
- Pick a time that works for your team to pedal, and use the form below to get signed up. There will be (12) 30 minute time slots available. They will be filled on a first-come/first-served basis.
As if you need any more motivation to sign up, prizes will be offered for the best teams in various categories- including most wattage generated in 30 minutes, best creative outfits, and most enthusiasm.
The Most Frequently Asked Question:
Do I need to be a professional bike rider to participate?- No, you don’t need to be a professional pedaller to take part in powering the stage. All you need is a great attitude, the stamina to pedal for 30 minutes, and a fun group of friends to join you.
Prepare to be both energized and entertained!
